Melancholia combines 100 year-old archival film with live electronics by composer Ross Whyte and contrabass flute by Scottish Album of the Year 2012 nominee Richard Craig. This work forms the first stage of an ongoing project between Whyte and Craig – one that explores the nature of melancholia through sound and image.
